Shrug it off!

Ahhh! A very late post!!!

I always love to try out new styles. Experimenting with dresses is a passion that I pursue relentlessly, and as we all know the look created can either be a fab or a drag. Let’s just say that I lucked out with my latest ensemble of a white fit and flare dress with a long mustard yellow shrug. Also, did I mention that fit and flare dresses are my favorite ones?

Behind the look:

A combination of yellow and white is as aesthetic as one can get. I have certain ideas in mind for a future ethnic look in the same colour combination. Stay tuned for this upcoming look!

Okay, so getting back to the current look that I decided to go by – a white fit and flare dress with a long, full-sleeve shrug in yellow paired with ethnic earrings to add to the flare. This is the best part about experimental dressing up, we get to pair up western clothes with traditional accessories and create a royal-bohemian chick look that is to die for! Initially I had planned to go for a ponytail and keep the hairstyle simple as I wanted the entire focus to be on the dress but then let’s just say that top-knot half buns changed my mind. Not only did they fit well with the dress but also set the vibes right.

I’d also like to add that this dress is as comfortable as it can get. Many times I see that people compromise with personal comfort in order to stay stylish, well there are others ways to do so! I would like to suggest this look for cocktail parties, dinner nights and corporate meetings too. The versatility of the look is something that gives you the good vibes. A small tip would be: to keep the colours contrasting so that the dress and the shrug stand out but complement each other in a way that they look fabulous together.

Hope you liked this look! Share your dress up ideas and personal favourite combinations with me on the comment section below. Till then, happy dressing!
