Over the years, I have personally observed the change that the Indian kurti and women dressing has undergone. We started with the long ones (kurta) which we wore with Patiala salwars, then westernisation happened and women shortened its length. And then, Bollywood brought into picture the Anarkali frock suits to the modern day palazzo long kurti and then comes into picture the gowns, yes, we Indian women have covered all the fashionable bases with kurti design.
I recently stumbled across this particular kurta design that caught my eyes. I am charmed by designer long kurtis nearly on a daily basis. But, this one was definitely different. A stylish kurti that is the perfect blend of colour and craftsmanship alike.
About the latest kurti style that I bought
This beautiful kurti has 3 different patterns in it. The front and back part of the kurti is deep blue with grey coloured prints on it. Making this combo look all the more sizzling and appealing with a deep red top jacket to it. The colour combination was something that struck my interest. It is seldom that we can see grey and blue together in a print.
The neckline had golden border and the hemline has a multi-colour border. The sides are in a soft colour of cream. The overall look that this fancy kurti gives is quite versatile. Meaning that, if you accessorize it well then you can wear it to any party or function with aplomb and if you work your way with makeup then it is a sure shot everyday wear.
For party wear I’d like to suggest beautiful piece jewelleries. As you can see the kurti in itself is quite heavy. If you wear something heavy on it, the look will become bulky however if you attached statemented jewellery pieces with the same then it will work wonders.

What I did with this new style kurti
I believe in creating a look that is versatile and comfortable. When in office I want to look my best—no doubt, but I don’t want to overdo it too. Hence, my kurti options are varied. Gives me a taste of everything.
What I created was a simple and sober look with lakme 9 to 5 primer+matte lipstick (it goes well with my skin type and lasts long too) and my current favourite matte lipstick. The look is bold and bright, I got what I was aiming for. Teamed it up with half bun hairstyle and some pearl golden dangler as my earpiece.

On a daily basis with a working lifestyle to go by, we cannot afford to spend hours before the mirror to get the look right. Rather than going for layers of makeup on a daily basis I select something for the base that’ll last long and make it worth the 2 minute effort. I also love to play with lipstick shades. After going over the Huda Beauty liquid matte lipstick and other things on my makeup palette now I have moved to Lakme matte lipstick. This is long lasting and doesn’t require frequent touch-ups. Works well for me.
See you next time with a new look and a new story.
